Last Thursday, TimeOut reported that a shark had been spotted in Dubai Marina and soon enough, the whole of Twitter was flooded with tweets and jokes. Someone took it up a notch and created a parody account @DxbMarinaShark. Some of the tweets are hilarious in themselves but the Twitter account took another turn when it started interacting with brands.

Government organizations such as RTA and Emirates ID didn’t just miss the joke… they were way off, as you can see in the tweets below. RTA’s tweets were in the same vein as Emirates ID, but it seems they have deleted the tweets since then.
