Dubai-based home-décor and lifestyle concept start-up, The Urban Yogi launches an exclusive loyalty program called Karma Points designed and facilitated by digital loyalty platform provider, UrbanBuz.
“We launched the program to connect better with our customers, build our business around them and reward them for it. The Urban Yogi is located in Times Square shopping mall and is UrbanBuz’s first furniture store business partner.
“Customizing a loyalty platform for The Urban Yogi presented unique challenges. Furniture is not usually purchased on a regular basis. While The Urban Yogi store sells impulse-purchase items to increase footfall, we found that in order to keep The Urban Yogi in front of her furniture buying audience, it was important to reward customers’ social behavior, not just purchases in store,” adds Mustafa Sadek, CEO of UrbanBuz.
The Urban Yogi sells an eclectic mix of tableware, one-of-a-kind furniture, soft furnishings, and other home décor items. Customers can receive cash-back of 10 to 20 percent on furniture and five to 10 percent on tableware and accessories every time they shop that they can redeem on their next purchase. Customers can accumulate credit through multiple other ways as well. Such ways will be communicated to the customers upon sign-up through the welcome sign-up email.
For The Urban Yogi, the platform has been primarily designed to build relationships with customers, encourage referrals and maintain brand presence through relevant, personalized customer-focused communication. UrbanBuz has previously developed loyalty programs for La Cure Gourmande and Europcar Abu Dhabi.
