Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) has been appointed by Saudi-based Savola Group as the media agency to handle its media buying and planning.

The media agency will work with Savola Group to develop a regional media framework, with a focus on creating a cohesive data strategy across bought, owned and earned channels. SMG has also been the media agency of Savola Foods since 2007 in the Egyptian market.

“SMG KSA has maintained its number one position in the market, with strong local capabilities, especially in the FMCG sector. We enjoy more than one third of the operations in KSA; which is double the size of our competitor. We look forward to bringing advanced digital offerings, innovative media planning and branded content solutions to help Savola Group further grow their business,” says Ramzi Ghanem, managing director of SMG KSA in a press statement.
