Industry sources indicate that OMD has decided to pull out of du’s 2015 media review in the final stages. An internal memo intimates the decision was made on commercial parameters that hinder the agency’s deliverables to its clients, partners and employees.
Such moves have been extremely rare in the region as agencies often tend to value prestige over profitability.
OMD has held the du account since 2006, together with Leo Burnett, and was reappointed in the previous review of 2011.
OMD redirected media calls to du, who gave no comment when contacted.
