WPP Group’s Mindshare, a global media agency network, was recently rewarded for their creative campaign, titled Keep Our Beaches Clean, taking home two Sapphire and one Emerald award at the second edition of the African Cristal Festival taking place in Marrakech during October 1st – 3rd.

Mindshare Tunisia won the Sapphire award for the Outdoor category, a Sapphire award for the Best Use of Promo and Activation category, and an Emerald award for the Best Use of Direct Marketing category.

The award-winning campaign is a CSR campaign for broadband and telecommunications client Tunisie Telecom that educated beach-goers on the protection of Tunisian coastlines and encouraged them to take part in regular beach clean-up for a beach experience that is friendly to the environment and more enjoyable for all. The campaign revolved around the TT Smart Converter, a technological device, that converted kilos of collected garbage into a free gigabyte of mobile 3G++ internet.

“This win combines everything that represents us at Mindshare – a creative, never-before-seen idea and effective execution by a team that stands out from the pack,” says Mindshare Tunisia Managing Director Hayet Rais. “The cleanup campaign left people feeling inspired, and these three awards from African Cristal Festival recognize that,” he adds.
