MEC has launched its specialist e-commerce consultancy, MEC Commerce, in the MENA region. The new division combines the services of a media agency with consultancy and delivery of e-commerce strategies. The new division is part of the EMEA hub in London and will be supported by a regional team.
Julio Cesar Rodriguez will head the MENA operation as head of e-commerce.
Marc Ghosn, general manager, MEC UAE, says in a statement, “The MENA region is a fast-growing marketplace with lots of scope for brands looking to succeed in e-commerce. I believe the launch of MEC Commerce will make a real difference to our clients here.”
Mudit Jaju, head of MEC Commerce, EMEA, adds, “We start with understanding each brand’s unique consumer purchase journey. Using that insight, we are better poised to create solutions that will grow our clients’ businesses in a world of modern retail.”
The department was first launched in April 2015 and has worked with clients including as Pfizer and Nestlé. MEC has continued to build the division by launching it in key markets such as UK, Germany, Poland, Norway, Belgium and now MENA.
