On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the International Advertising Association (IAA), the IAA Lebanon Chapter celebrated the diamond jubilee with a black-tie gala dinner, which was held in tribute to Antoine Choueiri, founder of the Choueiri Group, on May 23.

More than 250 advertising professionals from Lebanon and the wider region gathered at La Magnanerie, along with a number of Lebanese public figures.

The IAA Lebanon Chapter’s president, Joe Ayache, highlighted the importance of the Lebanese admen to the IAA, especially Choueiri, a pioneer, who leveraged the industry’s standards. “Legends never die” was interpreted in a documentary that underlined the prominent events of Choueiri’s life in a collection of facts and testimonials that tell a lot about a great man.

The IAA commemorated Choueiri with a reflective painting, which was presented to his family, and the tribute was accompanied by a series of entertaining shows. Moreover, advertising memories were revived during the gala with the broadcast of “the best of the best” Lebanese TV commercials.
