JWT was awarded a total of 17 accolades at the African Cristals on Saturday including a Grand Prix, four gold, four silver and five bronze medals a well as a special award, third place as Agency of the Year by JWT Cairo, second place as Network of the Year won by the group.
JWT Cairo’s Swimming Mangoes for Nestlé’s Dolceca picked up the Grand Prix and 3 gold medals in Film, as well as a special award. The team also won a gold and two silvers in the Film and Integrated categories awarded to Magdy for Vodafone Egypt; a silver and bronze in Film awarded to Terrible Accident for OSN and a bronze in Film awarded to Chiclets Revamp for Mondelez.
JWT Kenya landed a silver in Film for the Twaweza campaign, which means “we can make it happen” in Swahili; Scanad Kenya took a bronze in Film with MShwari for Safari.com; and Scanad Uganda bagged a bronze in Press with their Raised to 8 campaign for MOA Exhaust and a bronze in Outdoor with the Sun Dialing campaign for Warid Telecom.
In September, the JWT group in Africa also won a bronze Clio in September for Durban based The Hardy Boys’ Vote NSPCA campaign, and Scanad Uganda walked away with a silver and bronze at the Loeries.
