Outdoor advertising company JCDecaux SA, in conjunction with Dubai Airports, announced today that its subsidiary JCDecaux Dicon has unveiled a network of high definition digital 80” iVision screens at Concourse A, Dubai International.

This new network of twenty screens, provided by JCDecaux’s R&D division in France, is part of the first wave of a comprehensive roll out of an integrated digital platform across Dubai International.  The 80” LCD panels are located throughout the departure level of Dubai Airports’ A380 purpose-built facility. The central positioning of the screens along key passenger routes ensures optimal and synchronised visibility at eye level.  These portrait format digital screens have been integrated into the architecture of the building, taking into account airport wayfinding and the passenger journey to deliver well-designed, high-profile advertising space for brands.

Specialized content management systems also offer advertisers creative flexibility in the form of targeted or live campaigns.  Advertising creative may vary depending on the time of day, flights departures or arrivals from specific countries, sporting results, or weather conditions, among other factors.

Eugene Barry, SVP Commercial from Dubai Airports said: “Dubai International is an ideal location for the launch of the iVision screens as we strive to be at the forefront of innovation and interactive advertising. The new digital displays are visually appealing and enhance the passenger experience through engaging media platforms.”

David Bourg, CEO Middle East from JCDecaux said: “The installation of our new network of high-definition LCD screens marks a significant step forward in digital advertising at Dubai International. This new generation of 80’’ screens is intended to complement its environment whilst showcasing digital advertising excellence through our cutting-edge media estate.  We are proud to introduce this unique advertising proposition in Dubai International, as it will enable us to provide a unique media platform that is innovative, aesthetically pleasing, and engaging for both advertisers and passengers”.
