Public relations and communications agency Wunderlich Kaplan Communications (WKC), with offices in New York and Miami, announced its expansion with its new regional headquarters located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Along with its new office, WKC is announcing the appointment of Noor Taher, a Saudi native and award-winning strategist, as partner in the MENA division.

WKC boasts a diverse clientele including celebrities, Fortune 500 companies, and industry-disrupting, culturally-driven brands. With a track record of over 23 years, the agency was founded by public relations veterans Gwen Wunderlich and Dara Kaplan.

For over a year, WKC and their all-women team has been working with clients in the region such as Good Intentions – the global creative consultancy helmed by cultural icon and Grammy award winner Swizz Beatz and Noor Taher, and the Craft Group, one of the world’s premier construction and architectural firms based in Riyadh with projects throughout the Middle East. Recent projects of WKC include the Jeddah Art Promenade for the inaugural F1 Race in Jeddah, KSA, the Alicia Keys concert in AlUla in February 2023, the Women to Women launch initiative with Alicia Keys and HRH Princess Reema Bint Bandar, and most recently, AlUla on Wheels, the immersive roller skating rink activation that launched during the AlUla Wellness Season.

"It was time to expand with an actual office presence in the Middle East. As we witness the emergence of innovative and cultural projects in Saudi Arabia, it is clear that this is a region on the rise. We feel a connection to ancient Arabia, the rise of the current state of the nation, and with the people of the country. Having had success with opening doors, igniting conversations, and turning skepticism into intrigue, we are thrilled to expand our agency's presence in the country. It is an exciting time to be positioning ourselves at the forefront of this forward-thinking movement and to contribute to the progress and growth of the region,” said Gwen Wunderlich, CEO of WKC.

“At our agency, we believe in the power of storytelling to connect, inspire, and drive change. We operate with purpose and passion, putting people at the forefront of everything we do, from high-profile event planning to crafting compelling stories for brands and launching buzz-worthy global campaigns. Originally invited here as guests, it was incredible to see the unbelievable progress and transformation in this region. From the arts to the music and hospitality sectors, they all deserve strategically compelling, meaningful stories to be told,”  said Dara Kaplan, Partner and President of WKC.

“I have known these women for years, and there hasn’t been one project or client, no matter how big or small, they haven't put their absolute ALL into. What sets them apart is the passion and courage they have to share the untold stories – that’s why I decided to enter into a partnership with them. Being from Saudi, there are a lot of stories the world has yet to hear, it took a couple of trips to AlUla together to realize the inevitable. No one tells a story quite like them, they can sell sand in the desert," said Noor Taher, Co-Founder of Good Intentions and now partner in Wunderlich Kaplan Communications.

WKC has a proven track record of representing groundbreaking scientists, A-list celebrities, Grammy award-winning artists, global pioneers, fashion icons, humanitarian renegades, and some of the greatest brands of the century.

WKC’s client roster has included MTV, Coca-Cola, Fuji Film, Bergdorf Goodman, Maserati, Proctor and Gamble, Mastercard, Sundance Film Festival, Donna Karan, GIII for MLB & NBA, TUMI, Skype, Unilever, Ferrari, Triller, Netflix, Charlotte’s Web, and astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Taher’s track record complements the roster with her experience working with Giorgio Armani, Aston Martin, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, and The Louvre.
