SLA Mobile, a worldwide solutions vendor focused on generating new revenue streams for mobile operators and merchants, has partnered with Actel, a value-added service (VAS) provider in the Middle East and Africa.  As SLA Mobile recently introduced Direct Operator Billing (DOB) capabilities to Zain Group in the Middle East, this partnership will allow Actel to bring DOB to Zain subscribers for their list of digital and virtual goods merchants.

Actel’s client base, which includes media companies, content owners and distributors, publishing companies and advertising agencies, will now have access to connect to Zain users through the DOB mobile payment solution.  DOB also known as carrier billing, allows the user to purchase digital and virtual content and charge the purchase directly to their mobile phone bill or use their prepaid credit. The mobile payment option is seamless, secure and most of all convenient as there is no need to enter credit card details.

Khalil Khalil, head of business operations at Actel says: “We are continually looking for the best payment solutions for our clients.  SLA Mobile’s Direct Operator Billing solution will allow our users access to a seamless payment experience through their mobile phones.”

Amelia Power, head of sales and marketing at SLA Mobile says: “We are delighted to partner with Actel and connect their global client base to mobile operators through Direct Operator Billing.  This partnership is another validation of the importance of Direct Operator Billing as a key mobile payment option for digital and virtual content and services.”
