Acorn Strategy’s new office in Dubai opens in the 11th year of operations carried from its global head office in Abu Dhabi. After offices in Australia, the UK, and Abu Dhabi, this one in Dubai is the fifth.
To spearhead its new growth phase, the agency has announced promotions for six of its long-standing crew. Mariam Douss and Noura Al Makhmari as account executives, Suha Hamid at the post of Creative Director, Natasha D'souza as PR Director, Ghina Said becomes group account director, and, Safeer Kutti as Senior Graphic Designer.
Acorn Strategy has adopted a hybrid working model with a weekly staff attendance of two days per week at its offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Staff can work from home, or from anywhere they choose, during the rest of the stipulated four-and-a-half-day work week. Work-life balance and time flexibility are key drivers for the hybrid model, and it helps them manage their own time, especially working parents with school drop-off/ pick-ups. Other HR innovations at Acorn Strategy include offering staff the work from anywhere option and adding on to their leave days in lieu of additional hours during special periods such as Ramadan.
Commenting on the new developments at Acorn Strategy and its revised HR policies, Kate Midttun, Founder and CEO, said: “We congratulate our people who have been newly promoted and appreciate their contribution to our stunning growth over the past year. Our people are our strength and we have adopted the hybrid work model for their comfort and happiness. With the new Dubai office, we are positioning for the upturn in business demand and the expansion of the marketing and communications discipline post-pandemic. We look forward to the remainder of this year and expect to increase our team as well as our client roster.”
