Rachel started her career with Publicis Media eight years ago and has since had the opportunity to work on major accounts across a wide range of industries, from shopping malls (MAF Group) to banking (Emirates Islamic), gaming & sports (EA, Reebok), and museums (Louvre Abu Dhabi). Today, she manages the LVMH account across six of their brands, including Louis Vuitton, Guerlain, and TAG Heuer.

Why did you choose this career path?

My passion for advertising and marketing started out at university, especially during my internships. I knew then and there that my future would be in this industry.

How did you land this job?

When the opportunity popped up with Publicis Media, one of the best in the world, I had to go for it.

How do you compare your work life vs what you imagined it would be?

I never thought the people I work with would actually become my second family! The reason I say that is because the culture is amazing. We all gravitate to being around each other, learning from one another, and working as a team to achieve new levels of success for our clients.

What do you wish you had been told before you started working?

Setbacks are the biggest teacher; learn from them but don’t let them hold you back.

What is the best thing someone could tell you about your work?

Referencing my work as a standard for how it should be done is the biggest compliment I can get.

What is the worst thing someone could tell you about your work?

That it lacks passion because I put my heart and soul into the work that I do.

What’s the most valuable lesson you have learned at work so far?

Always support your team and have their back! This builds an enormous level of trust which is the backbone of a strong team.

Who’s your role model?

My grandmother. She’s such a strong and inspirational woman. She had to raise four kids on her own after my grandfather passed away.

If not this, what would you be doing?

Touring the world on a sailing boat, discovering new cultures, and enjoying some good food!

What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

Leading a group of world-class multinational accounts with a highly motivated regional team. Taking my experience over the years in managing people and digital transformation, and applying it to achieving growth and success for my clients.
