Following the overwhelming response to the Open Mic Night, Communicate is bringing another opportunity for marketing, advertising, creative and communications professionals to connect in an informal setting – a Movie Night! The first is scheduled to take place at Roxy Cinemas in Citywalk, Dubai on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023, and will be screening the 2000 romantic comedy – What Women Want.

The Communicate Rendez-vous series aims to bring professional communities together to galvanize and network in a comfortable setting. This comes as a part of the publication’s efforts to position itself as a community leader while empowering them with valuable education on the latest trends, developments, and news.

Building on this objective, Movie Night is organized in a format that allows audiences to not only watch a movie together with fellow professionals but also interact and discuss mutual narratives together. The first night will be playing Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt’s – What Women Want.

Packed with some laughs and twists, the movie offers an insight into the life of an advertising executive who accidentally gets the ability to hear what women are thinking. Through the movie, Nick Marshall learns his way around understanding his colleagues better, creating more effective campaigns, and mending his relationship with all the women in his life.

Commenting on the announcement, Sahar Rafique, Managing Director at NordStella Group, which is also the organizing team for the event, said, "We are thrilled to launch The Movie Night, a unique event that brings together the marketing, advertising, and communications community in a fun and informal setting. As a publishing platform, Communicate is committed to fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration among industry professionals in the MENA region. We believe that this event is not only a great opportunity to unwind and relax but also a powerful tool to strengthen the industry’s collective impact. By creating a space where people can connect, share ideas, and learn from each other, we hope to position ourselves as a community leader and contribute to the growth and innovation of the industry."
