The 2021 edition of the MENA Effie Awards is gearing up to be one to remember.

After the competition was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, both agencies and clients are flocking back to the only Effie awards program in the Middle East and North Africa, with a 40% increase in the number of entries compared to 2019, according to Sahar Rafique, Events Director at Mediaquest – the organizer of the event. This makes the 2021 edition one of the MENA Effie Awards' best years ever, doing even better than the last edition in 2019, which was already a record year, she adds. 

In addition, the scope of this 2021 edition has been expanded to business ideas, performance marketing, and technology companies, thanks to a mix of new categories that better represent today's marketing and business challenges, and allow for more in-depth coverage of effective digital strategy. The new total of 50 categories allows for more companies to enter the competition, with twice the impact as the eligibility period this year is from 2019 to 2021.

The MENA Effie Awards 2021 ceremony will be held on November, 24 2021, at the Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
