Morocco-based retail conglomerate Groupe Aksal is set to launch Wa-Sal, a new e-commerce marketplace to serve the region’s growing need for an all-inclusive platform with a bouquet of services including retail, health, lifestyle, cooking, and more.

Group Aksal, led by Salwa Akhannouch, has more than 30 business affiliates, 45 brands, a foundation, and an academy in addition to a number of malls and more than 34,000 sqm of retail surface, and is now looking to expand further into the digital realm.

Wa-Sal aims to operate as a global e-commerce marketplace, delivering a revolutionary and personalized e-shopping and lifestyle experience powered by innovative, AI-driven technology and outstanding human service; it will serve as a one-stop destination for lifestyle inspirations and shopping, through storytelling and content handled by an editorial arm.

Wa-Sal will feature an assortment of brands, from rising designers to the well-known names in different fields, covering 17 categories – including luxury & designers, beauty & aesthetics, fitness & wellness, home & decoration, food & gourmet, mother care & child care, men, kids, teens, media & tech, Moroccan chic, local and hand-made.
