President of Lebanon, General Michel Sleiman, represented by state minister for administrative development, Nabil De Freige, has presented Edmond Moutran, chairman and CEO of Memac Ogilvy MENA, with the National Order of the Cedar medal with the Rank of Knight in recognition of his contributions to advancing the reputation of Lebanon in the world, reducing the Lebanese youth unemployment rate and the profiling of the communications industry in Lebanon. The ceremony took place at his residence in Achrafieh, Beirut, last week in the presence of close friends and family.
“President Michel Sleiman decided to present Eddie Moutran with the National Order of the Cedar with the Rank of Knight in appreciation of his remarkable journey in evolving the Lebanese marketing communications industry,” says De Freige. “Eddie is a self-made man. He has worked tirelessly to grow his agency into a business of formidable force that continuously innovates and drives Lebanon’s name forward.”
Moutran adds: “I am proud to have played a small part in putting the name of Lebanon on the global communications map and I am deeply honored to receive this award. I shall follow humbly in the footsteps of those who have received this award before me.”
