Telco operator Du has launched its Unlimited Social Data Pack, through which all Pay as you Go® and Monthly plan customers are offered unlimited access to their social apps on their smartphone, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and LinkedIn at a cost of AED2 per day for Pay as you Go customers, and AED40 per day for monthly plan customers.

The Unlimited Social Data Pack also comes with Balance Shock Protection, a new feature that ensures that “customers only pay for data that they want to use,” says a statement by Du.

“Social networking is the number one use of mobile data in the UAE; and knowing how our customers love to stay connected to the people and things they love, we wanted to give them unlimited access to be able to enjoy continuous connectivity,” said in the same statement Fahad Al Hassawi, chief commercial officer at Du.

The service, however, is not available for Blackberry phones using BlackBerry OS 7.0 or lower.
