The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has announced its partnership with a number of partners to draw attention to the culture enrichment of Sharjah.

Under these agreements, SCCI will collaborate with Twitter, Forbes Middle East, Brag Events, and Careem to raise awareness for the Emirate as a destination for entrepreneurs and established businesses alike.

Through the “shjSEEN” campaign, SCCI aims to build a foundation for the city from the ground up, in collaboration with leading international and regional brands, including the ones it has partnered with.

“Sharjah’s strength has always come from the people who share a love for the city, so it’s only natural that we continue to encourage business opportunities and economic growth as we strive to build the next entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Emirate. The partnerships with Twitter, Forbes, Brag and Careem will help us galvanize Sharjah’s capacity for innovation so we can continue to offer services that are increasingly tailored to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and investors,” says H.E. Sara Al Madani, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board Member and Member of the ShjSeen Board of Trustees.

Kinda Ibrahim, director of media partnerships at Twitter, says, “We are excited to work with the Chamber of Commerce to leverage Twitter’s real time, conversational and public network. This partnership will help the Chamber of Commerce connects with people in the UAE and across the world and highlight Sharjah as a center of excellence for business in UAE.”

SCCI aims to support entrepreneurs to enter the world of business by providing access to all business resources in Sharjah at only a fraction of their living and operational costs. With more than 30 percent of the UAE’s manufacturing industry based out of Sharjah, the Emirate has earned the reputation of producing high quality goods and is set to be the hub for trade, manufacturing and entrepreneurship.

Christian Eid, general manager of Careem UAE, says, “We see Sharjah as the heart and centre for culture in the UAE and believe that innovation is best served in an ecosystem that harbours our nation’s dearest values. We are proud to support the development of Sharjah’s entrepreneurial scene to help shed light on our country’s most hidden gem”.

The shjSEEN initiative is in line with Sharjah’s drive to strengthen its status as a regional and international destination for innovation and entrepreneurship. The campaign harnesses the energy and innovation of young people, as well as attracts innovative entrepreneurs who want to start their own enterprises in the emirate.
